Yes! We encourage sponsors to visit their student in Belize. Students, parents and sponsors all benefit from building their relationship in this way. The students are encouraged to meet face-to-face the person (or family) who is giving them such a wonderful opportunity. The parents are also anxious to express their gratitude.
For the sponsor, the trip is a unique experience. Every sponsor that has taken advantage of this opportunity has been touched by it. Intimate cross-cultural meetings like these are also a great learning experience. We provide coaching for sponsors to ensure they have a high level of cultural understanding and awareness prior to their visit.
